ABOUT US

Merama is seeking to become the best and largest online group of brands in Latin America. Our business model is to partner with the leading merchants across Latin America (currently they are focused on Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile) and fuel hypergrowth with our team, capital, and technology. Unlike the dozens of Amazon aggregators that have popped up over the past few years, Merama is solely focused on Latin America, works with very few partners, and does not purchase companies outright. Instead, we are focused on identifying the top few companies in certain major categories and selectively partnering with the best by purchasing a stake in their business. Our company was founded 8 months ago by a group of entrepreneurs and former consultants, marketers, logistics professionals and e-commerce experts. We recently announced our Series A fundraise of 160M USD and we seek to change the E-commerce landscape in LATAM.

 

Our Team 

The Pipeline Management team is responsible for selecting the merchants that will become Merama’s business partners. We develop strategies and align criteria to attract the merchants that best fits our model.

We are a Business Development  team of people with strong commercial skills, good interpersonal relationships, hands on the job attitude, that never gives up after a “no” and that is always keeping track of the negotiations steps in an organized and disciplined way.

 

Role for You

You have high standards to qualify leads so that they add value to the company in the long term. You have a lot of energy and persistence to find the best merchants in the market and their respective decision maker. You have good interpersonal skills to do cold calls, present a sales pitch and lead negotiations. You are organized and able to keep track of your pipeline activities and follow up when necessary.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyzing market opportunities
  • Checking if the criteria chosen make sense
  • Defining which source of data to use
  • Searching for potential merchants
  • Searching for the decision maker (cold calls)
  • Presenting the sales pitch
  • Leading the business owner through our negotiation process
  • Following up to make sure the process is moving forward
  • Organizing all the data (including macro financial numbers) of the merchant
  • Presenting internally why we should move forward with the merchant
  • Keeping track of all the process in our pipeline management tool

 

You have these:

  • Have 2-5 years experience in pipeline management teams
  • Experience with e-commerce (D2C, marketplace or retailers)
  • Skill with pipeline tools
  • Hunting strategies and persistency to find leads
  • Good communication skills (from cold calls to sales pitch)
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English – Spanish is a plus
